Reward Followers to Drive Social Media Efforts
If you are trying to promote your product or brand, you probably already know that social media marketing is an effective way to direct visitors to your website. While this seems simple, it can be difficult to engage your followers in a way that will keep them interested long enough to actually convince them to purchase or invest. By rewarding your followers, you can keep them loyal and maintain a steady flow of website visitors.
Give Away a Product
One way of rewarding followers on social media is by holding a sweepstakes of sorts. On Twitter, you can tweet a message to your followers that tells them to retweet and favorite the message for a chance to win a prize. For example, If you were a video game developer, you could possibly make the prize a free copy of one of your upcoming titles. If you’re launching new products soon, you can also use them as prizes and as a sample of what you have in store for your customers. This method of rewarding your followers can also be utilized on Facebook, but you would ask them to 'like', 'share', and/or 'comment' instead.
Expanding Your Base
In addition to demonstrating loyalty to your followers and showcasing your products, rewarding your followers through these giveaways or contests also expands your presence on social media. The goal of this method is to have your followers promote or show your products and services off to their own friends and followers. This will get other people interested in your products and services as well, and you will gain more followers and potential customers.
